Franklin Mint offers a superb 1:24 M4A3E8 Sherman Tank. Billed as "General Patton's" Sherman, this tank offers an incredibly detailed interior and exterior. The turret is removable, and the details within the turret and crew compartment are superb. The model is quite large, at 12 1/4 inches in length. The Sherman now comes in two color schemes (see below). Both versions are unweathered.
The Franklin mint has also has release two versions of the M1A1 Abrams tank. I own the desert tan version. The detail is good (especially the engine and the machine guns. Although some detail of the turret interior can be seen, the turret (unlike the Sherman) is NOT removable. This is very limiting. The finish is fair. A light wash of brown has been applied, bringing out the detail, but not much more.
As you can see from the pictures, the Humvee is also VERY detailed. It has very good detailing of both the vehicle, and the accessories (dire extinguisher, shells, etc.) Thanks to Ed Holton for the Pictures! In fact, I was so impressed with the pictures from Ed, I purchased the camo edition. I was NOT disappointed!
